Chia pudding has become all the rage in these past few years. It's one of those extremely simple, quick
and convenient meals that is packed with so many incredible vitamins, nutrients and minerals.
I love, love, love to get creative with my food and sneak in as many beautiful superfoods as possible. This chia pudding is full of superfood powders and adaptogens that truly help support many different areas in your body.
Food is medicine and I'm so excited to not only share this recipe with you, but to share all of the beautiful properties these ingredients hold too.
I'm featuring my tried and true superfood brand, Navitas, in this beautiful recipe. If you have read any of my recent posts you will know that I have been collaborating with Navitas and doing some recipe development work for their website. It's been so fun experimenting with all of these beautiful products and working with a brand that I completely align with is such a dream.
Navitas Organics mission is to create a healthier world through regenerative farming and plant focussed lifestyles.
In this recipe I feature 2 superfood powders from Navitas organics.
The first one is organic cacao powder.
Cacao is filled with polyphenols (antioxidants) and is a great source of magnesium. When you are cooking or baking be sure to get cacao powder, instead of cocoa powder. They sound the same but they aren’t. Cocoa powder is processed differently. It is processed at a much higher heat, which in turn destroys all of those beautiful nutrients and minerals you could be receiving. Navitas cacao powder is made from unroasted, nonagkalized fair trade certified organic cacao beans. They cold press the cacao butter (oils) from cacao nibs and dry out the remains to make their cacao powder. This is one of the many reasons I choose to use Navitas! Their methods and process of creating their products is extremely thorough and results in the most beautiful superfood powders and superfoods.
Navitas 8oz bag of cacao powder is $9.99 and can be found on their website. I can leave a link here for you to browse.
The second one is their superfood+ adaptogen blend. It contains Maca powder, reishi mushroom and ashwagandha.
Each of these superfoods play a different role in supporting the body.
Maca is rich in an abundance of vitamins and minerals. It can also have the potential to help with hormones, but I highly advise you do your own research before consuming.
Reishi mushroom can help support your immune system. This is my go-to if I start to feel something coming on. It also contains anti cancerous properties.
Ashwagandha is a beautiful adaptogen that can help to reduce stress and support the central nervous system.
Navitas 6.3Oz bag of superfood+ adaptogen blend is $14.99 and can be found on their website. I can leave it here for you to browse.
i n g r e d i e n t s :
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup chia
1 tablespoon cacao
1/2 teaspoon of superfood + adaptogen blend
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
m e t h o d :
Place all ingredients in a jar and mix well
Leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours (this ensures the chia seeds soak up all the almond milk and in turn you get a nice pudding consistency)
Once your pudding has set, you can add on some fruits, seeds, or nuts of your choice
This chia pudding is perfect for an on the go breakfast or snack. It’s filled with healthy fats (omega 3’s from all those beautiful chia seeds), magnesium from the cacao powder, anti-inflammatory properties from the turmeric and adaptogens that support hormones, sleep and mood!!
This is a single serve recipe and it never disappoints!
