I want to take you through my updated skincare routine featuring a few of our beautiful Wildflower Harvest products.

Nurturing my skin is a vital part of my daily routine! Having struggled with hormonal acne for YEARS, I know the pain and insecurity that comes along with having bad skin. Creating a line of skincare products that actually benefit your skin is something I am wildly passionate about, I want women to experience the goodness of gentle + natural practices to bring nourishment, fullness and vibrancy to their skin too.

With that being said, let me give you the full run down of my skincare routine!

So many commercial cleansers on store shelves are filled with nasty ingredients that do really damaging things to your skin. One of those being: stripping the skin of it’s natural oils. This is why I have made the switch to using oil as my cleanser/exfoliator.

Using Oil helps to protect + strengthen your natural skin barrier, which helps to keep nasty toxins and bacteria out.

I personally love to use our calendula oil. It is made up of 2 whole + beautiful ingredients that bring nourishment to your skin. It is full of antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Calendula is a combination oil, because of its many incredible healing properties it has the power to adapt to your specific skin type. While it can bring hydration to dry, irritated skin it has also proven to show benefits with quick absorption for oily skin.

The first step of my skin care routine is always to cleanse/ exfoliate. I usually add 2-3 drops of oil in the palm of my hand and rub into my skin in circular motions. If I am exfoliating I’ll add a little sprinkle of sugar to the oil and do the same thing as if I was cleansing (I steer clear of white sugar because of the bleaching agents used). After I’ve cleansed/ exfoliated, I pat my skin down with warm water and then continue to pat my face with a towel until it’s dry. It’s extremely important that you don’t rub your face with a towel, because it can cause disruption to the ph balance of the skin. I have found incorporating a cleanse + exfoliation helps keep my skin hydrated, while also removing flakey skin too.

Toning is often the step in my skincare routine that I have always overlooked. It is an extremely beneficial step that can aid your skin.

I use our Geranium toner. Geranium helps to tighten skin, regenerate new skin and remove dead skin cells. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, so it’s going to help calm the skin down if you are struggling with inflammation.

I usually spray my face 2-3 times and allow the toning agents to settle into my skin tissue.

The third step of my skin care routine is to moisturise. Moisturising helps to promote balance in the skin, while also keeping it hydrated.

I use our whipped rosehip moisturiser. Rosehips are packed with vitamins, antioxidants and most importantly essential fatty acids. They are also full of vitamin A, C and E. Each of these vitamins help to fight free radicals on the skin.

Our whipped rosehip moisturiser also contains properties that help reduce inflammation, redness, scarring and leaves you glowing.

The thing I love most about our whipped moisturiser is the fact that it is butter based, oppose to being water based. This means a little goes a long way. I usually place about a dime size of the moisturiser on my palm, rub it into my hands (the heat of my skin is going to melt the butter) and apply to skin using circular motions.

If you know me, you know I love a good face mask. I personally really enjoy incorporating the use of a face mask into my skin regimen once a week.

I use the Chamomile Clay Mask from our Wildflower Harvest range. I choose to use this particular mask because it is made with simple ingredients that are recognizable and that actually benefit my skin.

It is made to detoxify the skin, while also filling my skin with tonnes of nutrients. It contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. My skin always feels SO soft and soothed after I do the mask.

I usually apply calendula oil on afterward as a serum.

This is an extra step that I have added into my routine a couple of months ago. Using a jade roller is very similar to dry brushing. It helps to drain the lymphatic system and stimulate circulation within the skin. I always start at the middle of my face and work my way out toward the hair line, past the jaw line and onto the the neck. Since incorporating this sweet little practice into my routine I have noticed a huge difference in the reduction of inflammation in my skin.

I am a firm believer in simplifying your routines to maximise results. Wildflower Harvest is hands down the best skincare I have ever used. Not only does it actually work but it is made up of minimal + completely natural ingredients that benefit + meet your skins needs.
