The best cacao fudge bites you'll ever taste...

I understand that is a pretty bold statement to make, but girl, hear me out! I am the biggest chocoholic and these little treats turned out amazing. They have the perfect fudge consistency, the right amount of indulgent cacao flavour and they taste oh so decadent. He’s the kicker… they are actually good for you! Yep, you read that right. These sweet bites are refined sugar free, dairy free, gluten free, paleo and vegan. Literally all the baking buzz words you can think of.


I am extremely passionate about the subject of nutrition and even more passionate about bringing awareness around the foods we are putting in our bodies. I’m not riding the intuitive train of “eat what ever you feel like”. That’s not how nutrition works. You should listen to your hunger and fullness cue’s and eat foods to fuel + nourish your body. It really is that simple. I try my very best to show you that eating a diet filled with nutrient dense foods doesn’t have to be hard, that’s literally become my philosophy for let’s flourish lovely. I believe in eating an abundance of whole foods, but that doesn’t mean I deprive myself of tasty treats, it just means I alter them to fit the lifestyle I’m trying to lead.


These delicious cacao fudge bites feature Navitas organics cacao powder. Cacao is filled with polyphenols (antioxidants) and is a great source of magnesium. When you are cooking or baking be sure to get cacao powder, instead of cocoa powder. They sound the same but they aren’t. Cocoa powder is processed differently. It is processed at a much higher heat, which in turn destroys all of those beautiful nutrients and minerals you could be receiving. Navitas cacao powder is made from unroasted, nonagkalized fair trade certified organic cacao beans. They cold press the cacao butter (oils) from cacao nibs and dry out the remains to make their cacao powder. This is one of the many reasons I choose to use Navitas! RECIPE


i n g r e d i e n t s :


5 California Medjool dates

1/4 cup of Almond flour

2 tablespoons of Navitas organic cacao powder

1/4 cup of shredded unsweetened coconut

1 tablespoon of almond butter

3 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds

A dash of water


Optional: A little bit of extra unsweetened shredded coconut to roll bits in

M e t h o d :

  1. 1. Measure out and add in all ingredients to a high speed blender (I used a vitamix but any high speed blender or food processor will work too)

  2. Mix all ingredients together until well combined

  3. Once mixed, roll into balls

  4. Dust with shredded coconut

  5. Leave in the refrigerator to set

  6. Enjoy

This recipe made 10 cacao fudge bites and they can be stored in the refrigerator for around 5-7 days… If they last that long.

You see what I mean when I say eating whole, nutrient filled and nourishing foods can be so easy? These cacao fudge bites taste unhealthy but in reality they are packed with vitamins and minerals to help your body thrive.
