Vanilla Immunity Smoothie Bowl

There is no denying that smoothie bowls are one of my all time favourite foods on the planet. They are SO versatile and you can pack them with so many beautiful nutrients! I'm normally a chocolate + greens kinda gal when it comes to my AM smoothie bowl, but I have had the incredible opportunity to do some recipe development for Navitas organics and I love to try out their different superfood blends and incorporate them into all my meals through out the day.


They have just recently launched 2 new products to help nurture + support our immune systems during this wild time of COVID-19 and as we head into winter here in the States. The product I will be featuring in this recipe is their beautiful superfood + immunity blend. It contains camu camu powder, acerola cherry powder and orange powder. These 3 ingredients separately are extremely high in vitamin C, so when they are combined, they are the powerhouse blend to support your immunity.


Not only is vitamin C amazing for your immune system, it also contributes to growth and repair of all our body tissues. It helps with collagen formation, iron absorption, healing of wounds and helps to maintain cartilage, bones and teeth. RECIPE:


Smoothie ingredients:


  • 2 cups of frozen cauliflower

  • 1/4 frozen banana

  • 5 ice cubes

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein of your choice

  • 1 teaspoon of the superfood+ immunity blend

  • a dash of cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk


Toppings:


  • Freshly sliced orange

  • unsweetened shredded coconut

  • 1 tablespoon of sliced almonds

  • 1 teaspoon of hemp seeds

  • 1 tablespoon of pepita seeds


Method:

  1. Blend all smoothie ingredients together in a high speed blender

  2. Once you have reached a nice thick and creamy consistency, add toppings

  3. Enjoy!


This smoothie bowl is a super quick + simple recipe. The best part about this recipe is the fact that it's filled with some many beautiful, whole and nourishing ingredients.
